When your son announces his engagement, you become overjoyed at the new season of life for him and his future bride. But this mama’s mind also immediately started thinking and asking how they wanted to celebrate- with an engagement party or dinner with family?! I know they are private people and don’t care for the fanfare, but I wanted to create a space for our friends and families to come together and be able to meet, mingle, and eat. Lucky for me, they agreed! The day was perfect, the weather was hot, but the fellowship and food were overflowing.
